Elvis cantou Today Tomorrow and Forever no seu filme de 1964, Viva Las Vegas. Gravou a canção em 11 de julho de 1963 no Radio Recorders. Foram gravadas cinco versões: a primeira versão (master, take 6) nunca foi lançada. A segunda (master, take 4) foi lançada pela RCA em disco. Uma terceira versão (master, take 4) foi usada no filme, mas foi lançada apenas em lançamentos pirata até 2003. As outras duas (takes 1 e 2) foram gravadas em dueto com Ann-Margret e só viram a luz do dia na caixa Today Tomorrow and Forever, em 2002 e no lançamento da Follow That Dream em 2003, Viva Las Vegas. Today Tomorrow and Forever foi escrita por Bill Giant, Bernie Baum e Florence Kaye, tendo por base a composição de 1850 de Franz Liszt, Liebestraume.
